Advocating for Care in the Capital Area of New York State Welcome![]() Dear Visitor: On behalf of CACAD - - the Capital Area Consortium on Aging and Disability - - I am pleased to welcome you to the Consortium's Web site. CACAD is devoted to empowering people who are elderly or disabled to maintain health, independence, dignity and life satisfaction - - and to enabling those who are concerned about providing aging and disability opportunities and services. These include caregivers, provider-agencies, researchers, and advocates, among others. These pages take you to places where you can learn about toll-free helplines, the care and service networks of the Capital Area, guides to service and care alternatives, Directory, community service and health care providers in your county. Surf the Web for additional aging and disability resources, professional links or simply to have fun checking out "cool places." And participate by contributing articles, posting notices of upcoming events and news, and adding your voice to discussions. Please take the time to e-mail your comments and suggestions to feedback@cacad.org, and make the CACAD site your resource for information and advocacy!
