Cohoes Adult Day Care is for people over 60 years of age who are having difficulty coping with their daily activities. They must be ambulatory (may use can, walker or wheelchair if independent), continent and non-abusive. Clients must be under the care of a private physician who will continue to be responsible for their medical care.

GOALS
To improve the quality of life of functionally impaired adults.
To provide stimulation and new friendships to the frail older adult on a daily basis.
To help maintain the Client's self-sufficiency.
To prevent or postpone placement in a long-term care facility.
To help families maintain their elderly in the community by providing a structured, protective setting.
To give respite to families caring for their elderly at home.

Day Care is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Participants may attend one to five days per week according to individual need.
